Would it generate any interest to plan a rally from Franklin,Ga to Cheaha mountain in Al? There is a local small motel in Franklin that I could get a deal on Rooms or folks would be able to camp at my place for free. Its a tick or two over an hour ride to Cheaha from my house or I can stretch the ride out by going over some(paved) back roads over in Bama. There is a small Flea market in Franklin with an auction on Fri & Sat nights. Chattahoochee Customs is a local bike shop we could stop at also. There are plenty of places to eat in Franklin for breakfast and on the ride back is an all you can eat seafood place in a old mill for 16.00 a head. They have fish, shrimp 3 different ways, oysters, frog legs, crab legs ,chicken ,Steaks off the menu, 8 different vegetables, homade ice creame, apple, peach or cherry cobler, or banana puddin. What do you think? If there is enough interest I'll get with Mike Lyon and Jack to try and put this thing together.

Here is an update on the possible rally. I would like to have this in late August or The first weekend in September. I will attach times at a later date. We will have breakfast in Franklin at the village Inn and head out some backroads to Wedowee , Al. From Wedowee we will hit hwy 48 to Lineville Al. In Lineville we will get on hwy 49 and ride it up to hwy 281 which takes us to the highest point in Bama which is Cheaha Mountain. After we tour the roads on the mountain we will return to 281 and head north toward Heflin Al. Near Heflin we pick up 78 for a short while and turn onto hwy 9 to Centre,Al and Cedar bluff ,Al. At Cedar Bluff we stay on Hwy 9 to Gaylesville. From Gaylesville we takehwy 35 to hwy 15 and ride around the rim of the Little River Canyon. It is approximately 15 miles around the canyon and somewhere in those 15 mi. we will turn down into the canyon and check out the River. There will be rest stops and refreshment stops along the whole route. This is Approximately a 165 mile round trip ride. If this is too short we could ride on up to Desoto Falls which tacks on another 20-25 miles. If it is too far I know a shorter way home . I need your input on distance . I will dry run the route and post a specific toward the end of June. Yes? NO? Maybe?
