CTC, Just read your post on shimming the needle.
When I'd cut the pipes, removed the airbox & put EMGO's on the 250cc, hadn't lost top speed (approx. 75 mph), but hadn't gained any either. What I'd found was that it only got there quicker :lol: Sure you're aware that the older 250's (mine was an '85) didn't require any re-jetting at all, but remember reading that the newer models did require some carb mods after alterations to pipes and/or airbox.
But that's very cool that you're getting in the 90 mph range! Definitely a worthwhile mod there.
