View Full Version : looking for a rebel

Hi,
I haven't ridden a bike for 21 years and after looking around and reading a bunch, it seems like the rebel is a good choice for me. I am curious about something though. The list price for a new rebel is $3100, yet I keep seeing used rebels for sale at $4-5000, with no mods listed. What's up with that? Am I missing something, or are these people just trying to gouge some unsuspecting chump? Do rebels increase in value so much that a 10 year old model with 16,000 miles on it is worth $4500? Can someone enlighten me?

I wouldnt pay $4000 for any rebel in the country.

My wife decided this weekend to sell her rebel. I am going to ask $2500.00 for it, its is a 2001 rebel 250 has a little over 8000 miles, has aftermarket pipes (mac - both on right side), It has saddle bags, sissy bar, bike trunk (behind tag), The carb needle has been shimmed to accompany the exhaust. Its the fastest rebel around.

You can find bikes in a wide range, its all a matter of what you are looking for.
