I've used the'search' but no luck. :( I'm looking for longer bolts for the rear fender on 2006 Honda Rebel.. http://partsfinder.onlinemicrofiche.com/cycleparts/Honda_OEM/HondaMC.asp?Type=13&A=408&B=46 number 11 and 13. I've added luggage rack, sissybar frames & saddlebag guards and now the bolts are too short. ( sissaybar frame, and saddlebag guard in # 11 / luggage rack, sissy bar frame, and saddle bag guards in # 13) I hope u understand what I'm trying to explain..

I would like to add 1/4 or 1/2 inches to the orginal size of the bolts
for number 11 (8x32) and number 13 (8x12) .. Can someone give me the sizes that I need ? Thanks

You've expressed your question very well DBE

Here's what I'd do.......Take the stock bolts to your local Ace Hardware & tell the clerk that you'd like the same bolts, same thread-pitch, but only longer.

As inexpensive as they are, you could buy 8 new stainless bolts.....4 that are 1/4" longer, 4 that are 1/2" longer. That way, you could save yourself an extra trip to the hardware store & have a few extras on hand for the next project.......LOL!

oh okay.. didn't think the Ace hardware or any hardware store would carry the chrome screws. Thought I have to either go to any motorcycle store or order on-line. Thanks.

You're not necessarily wrong in what you've said......there have been times that I've tried to match some motorcycle hardware thru a regular hardware store & they didn't have the "exact" style, so I settled for a slightly different one in stainless. If you're looking to keep your Reb as stock as possible, you may have no choice but to go thru an indie shop or the dealership.

Another possibility would be a fastener shop in your area that specializes in a large inventory of various fasteners.

Guess I don't need to go to Ace Hardware after all because today I traded in my bike 2005 Honda Rebel for a 1998 Magna! Whoo, what a beast! BUT anyway, I sure hope I can still come here to ask for advices :) If you are wondering why I traded it in, I had been feeling slightly cramped on the Rebel (my knees have been complaining for past few weeks) . I test drove 3 different bikes... 2006 Yamaha650, 2006 Shadow750 & 1998 Magna750... I decided that Magna fits me fine because it felt comfortable - more leg spaces and it has many accessories (highway floor, highway bar, light bar, tank cover). Was disappointed that many accessories from Rebel don't fit Magna. I'll sell them at Ebay or will post them here. Will do that when I have time.

Those needed bolts will get ya every time! LOL!

CONGRATS, DBE!!! That's EXCELLENT!

Don't know much about the Magna myself other than they're supposed to be superb bikes with a cult following. I see one local who I haven't had a chance to rap with yet, but he rides his black w/blue striped Magna daily & it's a very nice lookin' ride!

b4v4 has been around Hondas for quite some time & he may have some info for ya....

And of course you're welcome here, that goes without saying

Again, CONGRATS, enjoy & Ride Safe.......

Every time I replace a bolt or nut I buy stainless steel. I buff it up nice and shiny and you can hardly tell its not chrome.
