Sorry I jumped in to this forum so quick, excited about new Rebel, I did not take time to say hello! I got my first bike back in 1979
it was an Indian 80 my older brothers gave to me for my birthday.
"I was in heaven" riding down the man-made dirt passages of the
outer city Goddard, KS. With my brother Nick on the back of course.
My parents sold it a week later. To get us by another day I guess?
never rode since in'till now.
Times are better now, A lot better!

Ridin' stays in the blood, don't it ? Very first bike I rode was a friend's 250 BSA, semi-chopped......man, we had FUN on that bike! I was probably 14 yrs. old then, ridin' on neighborhood streets & dirt roads....Bought my 1st bike in '73.........now I'm an old fart, but gonna keep my a** in the saddle right up until closin' time!
Welcome aboard, Brother!

Have only gone thru Missouri twice.....first time was mostly at night, so I didn't get to see much except in the morning & driving west from Sullivan where I'd stayed for the night (long story about Sullivan, but I won't go there, LMAO!)
But drove thru again last summer during the day & man, it's a beautiful state! Heavily wooded, rolling hills....
Hope I've got the right state here, but there was some famous candy maker outlet right off the highway ? Russell Stover ? Is this in Missouri ? The OL insisted on stopping & she scored an 8 LB box of chocolates! EIGHT POUNDS! LMAO!
Ride Safe......

hehehe.....I've got a sweet tooth that won't quit, so she didn't have any trouble finishing up that humongus box
Unfortunately, I wasn't ridin' either time, but driving, tho' it was still a pretty good trip. Beautiful state, beautiful Country!
You work in Sullivan ? Nice little town & I'm not dissing it at all, but I was solo on that trip & had an extremely bad experience stemming from one of the local motels off the highway there......long time ago......

I agree with you nice little town but I do not want to live there.
No traffic lights on the over-passes and school is on the other side if you know what I mean. I'm a Maintenance Manager but nobody underneath me if you know what I mean. I do all the electrical and the taking care of machines in the two plants. We Manufacture polyurethane bushings anywhere from tank trailors to diesels already did a few mods on my truck and mountain bike, have to ride with my oldest son a big 13 if you know what I mean, but peddling is about to have me in. SWEATING, . . CAN'T BREATH . . FIND A DITCH THING! HA!HA! :)
