Have seen a LOT of 250 Rebs in Tucson, which isn't surprising considering the number of Honda dealerships in the area. Saw what I "think" was a 250 Reb turning off Grant Rd., had a white homemade luggage box on the back ?

In the past 2 weeks have seen 3 on Thornydale........2 in one day, white one heading north, black one heading south later in the day. Yesterday, might have been a candy orange or slightly bronze colored one (from a distance as I was standin' in Circle K)

Not asking anyone to break their anonymity & it's GREAT to see 'em on the road, but I'm sure some of us have waved at one another while riding. If you see me ridin' the 450, the chop or the Sporty.....just flag me down & we'll rap, it's casual.

Bottom line, the 250 Rebs get RIDDEN.....a LOT....and that's very cool!

Ride Safe...........

None of them were me.

I've been pretty close to home while healing up.

It's sounds like "The invasion of the Honda Rebs".

LMAO!......You're right, Chopper Rick, there's 250 Rebs all over the Tucson area & that's cool.

jsonder, You no doubt get up by Grant Road on occasion for the indie shops there, yes ? Between the indie shops & dealerships, Grant Road is pretty well-travelled on by 2-wheelers, LOL!

What's this about "healing up" ? Bike accident (God forbid) ?

Major operator error! In mid-September I had driven down to Sasabe and the Mexican border and was coming back through Arivaca. Going too fast on the wonderfully curvy county road (45-65 in 4th) and had coyote crossing the road in a tight curve. I went to the outside of the curve (bad instinct) and was still braking as the front wheel hit the shoulder and gravel.

I put the bike on its left side at 40-45 mph. Broke my left shoulder blade and fractured the 3rd rib down (in front, left). I was still unconscious when some local folks stopped to help. The helmet and armored mesh jacket saved me; altho, it looked like someone had dressed out a rabbit or bird where my face was (3/4 helmet).

Damage to the bike was negligible, but I could buy a new rebel with the amount the ambulance and hospital stay cost even after insurance. And in another 4 months I would have had medicare coverage!

Damn, John......we had no idea about this (least I didn't) Sounds like we almost lost ya! Losing it at that speed could obviously go either way. VERY glad that you're ALIVE & on the mend. Incredible! I'm truly sorry to hear of this.......If you need help repairing your Reb...wrenching, parts searching, whatever...please don't hesitate to give me a shout thru PM.

Take it at your own pace & please get well as soon as possible.....and the offer stands, Brother!

Peace.........

Another 250 Reb this past Sat.......looked like a married couple, Lady on a metallic blue Reb, OM riding behind on a Harley ? I passed & threw a wave near Vistoso, heading towards "Horror" Valley, LMAO!

Good to see ya on the road! Ride Safe.......

Sure wasn't my wife, her Rebel is white.

I'm seeing tons of Honda 125 scoots here in Bangkok, while playing medical advocate for a friend.

I tell ya! I have to sit here and listen to y'all talking about riding this time of the year and I just keep getting greener with envy. So what's it like to be able to ride street bike more than 5 months a year? I could ride mine more than that if I decided to wear scuba gear, or chains on the back tire. Oh, well, I guess every place has its good and bad points. The good part of my area is that when it's sunny, instead of riding my bike, I'm mowing the lawn. :( When the lawn finally dries out enough to die so I don't have to mow it, it catches fire and burns down nearby woods. But at least my taxes are low.

ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!! That cracked me up! ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!

AZ is actually year round riding, but this winter was a real beotch, leastways for us who ain't used to it, LMAO!

Winter before last, I just dressed for it & got plenty of saddle-time in. Not the case this past winter, but to others' credit, I saw no shortage of riders out there in spite of the unseasonably colder months we had.

Hang in there, Brother, Spring is just around the corner!

Bought the Wing in Nov and have put almost 2000mi. on it. Gonna be Sunny and 70's to 80's ALL WEEK!!! Gotta love it!!

Sorry to rub it in b4v4 :( If it's any consolation, mid-July to late August it's so humid here that when you walk outside, your soaked with sweat :x

Part of it is attitude and stupidity.

I rode a Suzuki 250 scrambler throughout the winter in Evanston, IL, back in '69-70. You just have to figure that you are going to fall on occasion and dress for it. I survived with just a helmet, leather jacket and ski gloves.

And no, I wouldn't dream of doing it again.
