I like the look of the end of these pipes with slide-in baffles w/ end caps on them. Anyone know where to pick some up that would fit the pipes on a 450? Or, can you think of a way to fab some end caps for a set of baffles from someplace like JC Whitney? They wouldn't have to look just like this. I just want them to have a real clean look on the ends.

They do have a very trick look to 'em! If you could find baffles from JC Whitney, maybe a good hardware store would have stainless washers with the right I.D. & O.D. that could be tack-welded to the baffles ?

I have to go with GJ on that. Some washers & welding would do the trick or you can talk to a welder who might have some ideas on how to do it & have him weld a setup for you. The welder could probably make a set of pipes for you too.

I actually thought about talking to somebody to see about welding longer, larger diameter pipes to my existing ones after they come out of the engine and make that 2nd bend to head towards the back of the bike. I think I'd get a better tone out of them. I think Chopdoc on the Rebel250 forum likened it to the difference between a trumpet and a tuba. Doesn't seem like it'd be crazy expensive, but then again, I've never priced anything like that out. And, I'm not sure what kind of clearance issues there'd be.
