First remove the seat!

Remove the old clips
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0091.jpg
We are going to remove the whole foam and vinyl cover to keep it
in case you want to go back!

In the case of the older Rebels 85 -87 the seat pan has a huge dip
which I hate, the newer ones don't have it get a good quality high O mean high density foam.
If you buy el cheapo foam from Walmart, you are going to seat on top of the pan! It got to be a hard high density!
Mark it with a magic marker.

Cut it with a sharp knife

I want to reduce the huge dip on the seat pan, spray some 3m spray glue.

http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0097.jpg
Spray some more glue and place the foam template.

http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0099.jpg
Place the vinyl upside down on top of the seat, and in the front
pick up the slack and mark.
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0100.jpg
Do the same for the 2 rear corners
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0101.jpg
this slack is to avoid having to twist the vinyl.. However if you don't have the talent to
use a sewing machine, then just place the vinyl on top and twist at the end and at the front
However for a better look....continue. Now tell your wife to go to the mall, grab her machine, of course buy some haevy duty thread, or ask her to do this 3 seams. The 2 back and the one in the front

Now lets use some 1/4 inch foam for roundness
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0104.jpg
Place the vinyl on top
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0105.jpg
Grab your stapling gun and star shooting some clips streching the vinyl around.
VIOLA A NEW SEAT!
NOTE NOW THE DIFFERENCE IN THE DIP OF THE SEAT
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0106.jpg
Now let replace the broken rubber parts under the to avoid vibration
grab a piece of 5/8 heater hose, glue with epoxy glue and
drill and insert 2 small screws one on each end
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0090.jpg
http://www.quantumproductions1.com/IMG_0107.jpg
Install on the bike! note that this one is lower than the back seat, I did this on purpose
since I have a gel pad also.

Now go ride, and buy me some Puertorican Rum!
