Hello! I just moved to Kissimmee, Florida a week ago and today just bought at Rebel. My finace has a bike and has been riding for years. After the MSF course I plan on taking trips to the beach with him. Just wanted to introduce myself and say "I look forward to the forum!"

I'll be lovin' this weather here in December! :D

Welcome Bikerharpist!!!!

You made a good choice in bikes-- but then I am sorta partial to them!!

Good choice in taking the MSF course, it will help build your confidence and skills quickly.

Feel free to ask anything...there are great people on here that are more than willing to help!

Welcome, Bikerharpist! You've joined the ranks of a bike that has a huge cult following......and for good reason.

What year & color Reb did you score ?

Well, I walked into the dealership not really knowing what would be good for me. Let me put it this way, I'm five feet tall and weigh around 115,so the ONLY bike for me had rolled in early that morning. My Rebel is Black and 2006 with only 600 miles on it. They were asking less than new obviously, and as it was nearly new in my mind, I couldn't pass it up. I was and AM so excited. I'm getting my permit tomorrow after reading the booklet, and having my fiance teach me basics in a LARGE parking lot. I am older than 21 but still opted to take the MSF course for my safety. I'm so excited... it is still so new to me, and I hope this excitement and joy doesn't fade.

So, you've essentially got a brand, spanking new Rebel for a discounted price. Excellent!

You're entitled to that excitement! It's like Christmas in August & that's cool. Congrats! That excitement doesn't normally wear off, either. The more you learn, the more your skill levels improve, the more miles under your belt, the more you want to get more & more saddle-time! It's addictive in a GOOD way! Your Journey has only begun......

Absolutely nothing wrong with being over 21 & taking the MSF course. There's a LOT of folks in their 40's & 50's doing exactly that, so you'll be one of the youngbloods in the class, LMAO!

Enjoy & Ride Safe.....

When you get ready to dress that bike up and need some safety chrome and other things to make it comfortable and usefull, like windshield, saddlebags, saddle bag brackets, crash bars ect. Give Jack a call or go see him, he is close by in Sanford Fl. His shop is Jacks Rebel Warehouse. 1-800-240-0393 he specialzes in the Rebel.
