Tried to get the clutch cable off my 450 this evening, but can't seem to get it off. I can loosen it, but it won't fit through the slot.

Am I doing something wrong here, or has the slot just been pinched? Do I need to open it up more somehow?

It's not supposed to come off easy. You wouldn't want it to just slip out. I think you need more slack. The end of the cable is thicker because of the lead end. Slip it back further and the cable will be a little thinner.

thanks. I had some buddies come over this week and we got it off. Ended up just opening that slot up a little and it came right out. We actually ended up finishing the disassembly on the whole bike. I'm gonna get some pictures taken and update my bike blog tonight or tomorrow.
