Just wanted to put up a photo and let people see how big a difference forward control extensions, a lower profile seat and some 11" ape hangers can make on a Rebel.

I'm 6'5" tall with a 34" inseam on an 86 450 (or at this point, parts of a 450... I really have to finish tearing this thing down!) I don't feel like a circus bear anymore. The extensions came from Howtech's eBay auction (thanks again Howard!), the solo seat came off eBay and the apes are from Rask Cycle's site. This thing really is the perfect project bike. Not always the easiest thing to find parts for, but that's all part of the fun.

Can't tell much about the seat in the pic... How is it mounting to the frame? Been wanting to put a solo seat on mine. The apes look right at home!

Here are some shots off eBay of the seat:

I think I've figured out how to mount it, but I'm not 100%. I have a pretty good idea of how the front is going on, but I'm still working on the back. Once I get it on, I'll update my blog with shots and let everyone here know so they can check it out.

Looks similar to one I made for VLX

At 6'2" they let me stretch out for a more comfortable ride.
