I'm getting ready to sell some of the parts I won't be keeping for my 86 450 bobber project, and was wondering if it would be better to sell things in a group (rear fender with struts and the lights) or if I should sell each part seperate?

It'll be my first time selling anything on eBay, so if anyone has any tips, I'd love to hear 'em.

Have seen complete bikes parted out piece by piece on eBay and have little doubt that if one is looking to make the most $$$, then piece by piece is the way to go. It's makes people crazy to see what might have been a running bike completely torn down & sold individual parts at a time, but the bottom line is......that's how the seller can squeeze every last nickel out of the item, LMAO! Seeing those listings makes ME crazy, but that's the seller's perogative & ain't none of my business

With the relative scarcity of 450 Rebel parts, you should do just fine. And, of course, you always have the option of offerring them on Rebel specific sites for your fellow Rebel riders.....hehehe....Kiddin', HotShott, they're your parts to do with what you will.

Definitely make more money selling them off on Ebay a piece at a time. Remember though, when selling used stuff on ebay to be brutally honest when it comes to item discriptions. Also, when you sell, don't post their feedback until you make sure they're happy with the deal and have posted positive feedback for you, else you could be held a "feedback hostage". If you use Paypal, it will cost you money with each sale, but you will sell items at a higher price and get paid quicker also. usps.com is the post office website. Smaller items are cheaper to ship through them than UPS, but use whichever's more convenient for you. Good thing about the post office is, they will pick up your box at your house for free, also will supply you with free boxes. Be careful not to charge too much for shipping, but do charge enough to ship the item, it hurts to mess up here and actually lose profit because of a mis-quote on shipping. One other thing! Ebay will charge you for more than one picture, but some items sell better if you have several good pics. Use any type of photo management software you may have to put several pictures in one. I use Microsoft Publisher, so if I need several pics of a low dollar item, I don't have to pay for added insertions. Good luck on the bay!
