Having grown up in the '60's, went thru the British Invasion, then Psychrdelic/Acid Rock......dug it all! Like a wide variety of music, but have stayed true to the rock roots right on thru to today.

Well GJ, you have hit one of my fav subjects. I grew up with 3 older brothers (the oldest being 12yrs older than I am). So I like everything....Rock, Soul, R&B, Jazz, Pop, Heavy Metal, Country (old and new), some Rap....if its got a good beat, I probably will listen.
Some of my fav riding songs and/or artists:
Great White Buffalo- Ted Nugent
Stormtroopin'- Ted Nugent
Sweet Melissa- Allman Brothers (and just about anything else)
Any Van Halen song! LOL!!
Black Water- Doobie Brothers
Janis Joplin
CSN and CSNY
Jimmie Hendrix
Aretha Franklin
James Brown
Elvis
Sam & Dave
Lynyrd Skynyrd
AC/DC
Johnny Cash
Willie Nelson
Waylon Jennings
Travis Tritt
Hank Sr. & Jr.
I could go on forever..... 8)
It mostly depends on the mood I am in. I have a good mixture on my MP3 player and plenty of CD's to listen to.

Yep......pretty much throughout the '70's, we were heavy into the Southern Rock: Skynyrd, Allman Bros., Marshall Tucker, Molly Hatchet, Charlie Daniels, Outlaws, Blackfoot (highly under-rated band, MattD, they had some EXCELLENT cuts! )........and Jack Daniels wasn't any stranger in the bars, LMAO!
Got into the Outlaw Country after that...Waylon, Willie, Chris Cristoferson, Johnny Cash, Hank Williams, Jr. and of couse, Hank Sr., David Allan Coe, Travis Tritt, Commander Cody & John Prine were somewhere in that area as well...
Blues/Rock Blues: Johnny Winter, ZZ Top, John Campbell, George Thorogood.....
These days, more into the contemporary scene.....

Right on to all of the above, Brent! (Except for the Philistine part, more of a born-again confused here...hehehe)
Savoy Brown!......"Raw Sienna"......"Hellbound Train"......but their earlier stuff was the best, IMHO. Electric blues/rock with a cookin' boogie backbeat!

Favorite riding song varies, but, I KNOW YOU RIDER ,off of any number of Dead bootlegs on my shelf (yeah, I was one of THOSE), probably is up top, with the Allman brothers right alongside. In general, I really like live music and don't listen to too much recorded music anymore. Most recent concert? Flogging Molly in Portland.
My music tends to scare people, but its only music. Currently in the changer
Slipknot - VOL. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)
Kittie - Oracle
Chevelle - This Type of Thinking
Atreyu - A Death Grip On Yesterday
Norma Jean - O God, The Aftermath
Disturbed - Ten Thousand Fists
Nothing like good ol'devil music to keep the blood pumping, its also good on the interstate around atlanta, I suffer from SRR (severe road rage) and my cage is my battleship.

Last year I went with my daughter to the Handlebar in Greenville, SC.. Live music was: Theory of a Deadman, No Address, and Shinedown. My daughter said, Daddy, you're the oldest guy here. I said, I would rather be the oldest person at a rock concert than the youngest person in a nursing home. She liked that.
I've been to a few concerts at the handlebar, going to the bi-lo center september 6 to see hoobastank, Hinder, Chevelle, and Nickleback.
Mainly there to see chevelle

Yeah, I like the Bilo Center, saw Tom Petty there, Fleetwood Mac, a few others. Handlebar is unique, though, food is pretty good too.
The handlebar is a neat concept. I've won tickets several time on 93.7 for shows there.

The hot ticket, if you got the money, is to rent the balcony for the evening. Then, you get to sit down. :D

hehehe........In the late 1970's, we were partying at a lake-front house. In a boat on the lake were a couple guys from across the way & they were playing disco on a portable sound system.
We placed 2 100W speakers on the dock & cranked it up......yep, Inna Gadda Da Vita! Blew them disco ducks right outta the water! LMAO!
Welcome aboard, John!
