When checking the oil level do I check it with the bike on the kickstand, or do I level everything off and straddle the bike while checking it?

Thanks!

the second one.

but first, run the bike for two minutes or so, maybe rev it a little, to warm it up and stir it up.

then let it stand for 60 seconds while you straddle, pull dip stick, wipe it off, etc.

then, holding it up straight, stick the dip stick in -- just til it touches -- do not screw it in.

remember in a small engine the smallest amount low (down in the hash marks) makes a difference since it holds so little oil in the first place.

if after checking it is low, add some, and then change the oil.

If it is too much oil in there, change the oil, drain the breather tube thing that has a plug on the bottom of the bike, and check the air filter for over saturation of oils.

be sure to use the correct oil, I read that some oils can ruin your clutch.
