No get it and go!

I just recently bought a 2005 Rebel and it ran great until today. I took it for a short drive, 8-10 miles, and by the time I got to my destination it wasn't going anywhere in any gear. The engine runs fine and revs when throttle applied, but when I put it in gear it barely moves-even when throttle applied. I will trailer it to the dealer tomorrow, but anyone have an idea what is going on with it?

There was a spring issue with the 2004 models, the judder spring. But I am not aware of such problems in the 2005 models.

I had a similar experience once and it was just a loose countershaft sprocket. The countershaft retaining nut had worked loose and allowed the sprocket to slide off the keyed shaft, so the shaft spun, but not the sprocket.
