Hi, just thought I would intro myself. Been riding for 24 years but could never find a bike I could sit flat on.. I am very short. Found a 2000 Rebel , took me about 3 seconds to remember (last time I rode was about 10 years ago... 84 Honda 750 but could not stand flat) and I was off..... Love the bike but need more power now.. I live in a small town and have to go to the big city about 3 times aweek.. I do not mind taking the back roads .. I have alot of questions regarding maintence so I hope somone will reply ..
Thanks for this site.. it is great !!!!!

welcome aboard, you will find the rebel to be very easy to ride as well as maintain. There are a lot of good people here who can help answer your questions. I hope you find the info here useful. Thanks.

Welcome aboard, PatchouliJen...

You've chosen an excellent bike to re-enter your 2-wheel journey on. Versatile, dependable, low maintainence. If you decide to upgrade to something larger in the future, there's many good bikes out there to choose from.

Absolutely agree with you about many of the older stock bikes & their ridiculously high seat heigth. The 250cc Rebel is good as is & as you no doubt know, many of the newer bikes are offerred in soft-tail versions with a more streamlined look & lower seat heigth.

(I'll respectfully be deleting the "patchouli" post in good faith  )
