Wanted:: Gas Tank for 450 Rebel!

In search of gas tank for 86-87 450 rebel. Will 250 tank possibly fit? Open to suggestions!

Hi tpk555 and welcome to the board!

I think that the 250 tank will not fit without some modifications (I think the 250 tunnel is too small for the 450 frame) . There are some other tanks that will fit with little modifications. I am sure that others on here will be able to help with that. I think there was a post on using different tanks and what may be needed for modifications. If you want to go with the original tank, www.crotchrocket.com site has them probably the cheapest on the net. I did see another site once, but can't find it now, where an individual made them but they were about the same price as crotchrocket. They run around $320 - $360 depending on if you have a California model (which is vented) or not.

You might want to try Jacks Rebel Catalog @ www.rebelcatalog.com in Florida. He might have one. He is like a Rebel guru with pleanty of parts.
