I have taken off the original taillight and made two small plates (almost looks like a pair dimes) and used lead, tinn (im not sure of the american word for it, hehe) to atatch them to the fender, you wouldent want to weld the holes because then you'l burn off the paint and the metal will wrap. After that i made a template out of cardboard that fitted underneath the fender and followed the counturs of a 4X7 inch licenseplateframe and fabricated it out of aluminum plate . Then i drilled up holes and mouted it were the original licenseplate mounts and light was mouted. im going to lay out some pics on my website as soon as i get them. www.freewebs.com/are-mnja

that sure looks better than stock .How did you cover up the holes in the fender supports?
I did not cover the holes, they dont look bad, but if you have to have them covered a fancy bolt will do the trick.

I have found something that may make a good kit for the rebel to do this mod. I presently working on it on the rebel here, once I have all I need I will get pics, and a price for the items. I think I make the parts for this mod, tail light, bracket etc. well under $100.
Will post updates.
