No Chevron For H-D's ?

My bud took his Harley in for some warranty servicing & they told him not to use Chevron w/Techron or AM/PM gas (supposed to be the same gas).

Has anyone else heard of this ? I know my good Bro who passed away 3 yrs. ago & was a Master Mechanic specializing in Harleys & Beemers used Chevron. I still use it in both the Rebel & the Triumph whenever I choose.

Is this something specific to newer Harleys or is it bogus advice from the dealer ?

I've heard that the techron might not be good for bikes, but I have seen or heard no exact proof or evidence showing why not to use it, I'll check with some of my buds that are techs at HD shop to see what they know about the problem, if there is one.

Thanx, cTc, it'll be interesting to see what's up. Have always heard that Chevron w/Techron was supposed to be one of the better fuels to use, but of course maybe that theory/advice has changed for some reason, I dunno...
