whattayathink ? http://www.saxonmotorcycles.com/black_crown.php#
Except for missing a kickstart & a price I can't afford, I could actually dig this one. Has that "industrial" kinda look goin' for it.

It's got some traces of Russell Mitchell in it. I do like the hardcore look about it. If it was my bike the first thing i would get rid of is that fat rear tire & go with something smaller.
I see a bit more choppers inc. than exile, but for a bike this style, nothing but Indian Larry will do.
And soon as I find the right indian larry bike, I am going to buy it, even if it means mortgaeing the house.

Hadn't heard the name Russell Mitchell, but if I'm reading your post right, CTC, is he from Exile ? Pretty cool bikes, most have a stouter look to 'em. I just haven't kept up with the newer chopper mags for quite some time & don't really cruise the Internet like I used to.
Billy Lane of Choppers, Inc. definitely rocks, as do "Indian Larry's" crew.
I wonder how many choppers "Indian Larry" actually built & sold ? That'd be a trip to find & buy one for yourself. I'm still paying off this $800 450 Rebel, LMAO! (Took a loan from the OL)
Still see some Ron Finch bikes on eBay now & then. He was pretty busy back in the day, along with the early Arlen Ness's & others.
"Indian Larry" just nailed it tho'. Tremendous loss that still hurts when I think about it.
Chopper Rick, I agree about the fat tire thing. Just when compared to the other choppers in the Saxon line, this one had a certain appeal.

Now that you mention it it does have the Billy Lane signature to it.

LMAO!!!!!! You're definitely a flat-blacker, Brother!
Liked the look of this one when I first saw it (tho' I'd prefer a black seat.....hehehe) & there's no way I could afford one. After the 3rd time in there, decided to ask if I could give it a sit....didn't feel right for me at all.....way too much stretch for the bars.
