gas leak

I just bought my first bike, a 86 rebel 450. I got it running today and noticed a gas leak on the fuel shut off. It looks like a small hose is supposed to be hooked up on it butt, I can't find where it would go to.

I think the 450 petcocks are vaccum operated, but not 100% sure. Is there a hose hooked to the valve that goes to the carbs?

yeah there is the main fuel line to the carb then a small line to the head butt there is a nipple between the two that I have no idea where it goes

I wish I were more familier with the 450, but we have quite a few 450 owners on board that should be able to lend some help.
