I am glad to report there is now another 450 that has been returned to the road. After a long absense (8 years) and 4 months of being in the shop, I have finally been able to ride. When I brought her home, I rode for about 10 miles. Given that this was my first time ever on the road, I was happy. The next day I took her on a group run that was 100 miles round trip. Bike and I both did great. Only thing now is the shifter will not return to position when I am down shifting. It stays down and I have to pop it up slightly before I can down shift again. Any ideas on what is wrong?

Congrats on getting on the road, not sure what the shifer problem could be on a 450, I've not had alot of tinker time on a 450 so I can say what to look for, but we have several 450 owner on here that may be able to shed some light on the situation. Post some pics of the bike for everyone to see when you have time.

You need to lube the shifter linkages.... I have to do mine about every 3 months.
