Rebel Wannabe

I had an '86 Rebel many years ago, sold it a while back, but recently got the motorcycle bug again. Well, there were no Rebels in town and I noticed a "larger" Rebel because it looked EXACTLY like a Rebel, but bigger. Turns out it was a Honda Shadow VLX 600 (2007). Awesome bike, rides GREAT, looks GREATER.

Problem is - I am 5'0 tall. Well, I took my endorsement class and began riding my Shadow, and love it. The second problem is - I love the Rebel more! Because of my size, the Shadow simply has more power than I want. People tell me, "You'll want more of a bike. You'll outgrow the Rebel." And quite frankly, that might be true, if I were about 4 inches taller. The Rebel fits me PERFECT! I can sit flat-footed on the Shadow, but... I still love the Rebel.

All that to say, if anyone in Rebel land is considering trading up to something like a Honda Shadow, please give me a shout. It has less than 20 miles on it - I don't want to ride it because it is FLAWLESS, and I want to keep it that way. I am selling it for $5200.00. I will be back here soon, as a Rebel owner. I can't wait for the new ones to come out. :D

Well welcome back to the riding world. I've owned a shadow VLX, I had it for about 3 or 4 years, I've had probably 15 rebels at this point. I love to buy them and turn a wrench on them here and there and re-sell them.
Where are you located, I will spread the word about your bike.

I'm not sure yet, but I've thought about moving from my 2004 Rebel 250 to to a Shadow VLX. Only negative is MPG. Where are you located?

Awesome bike, just not for me. I'm a 250cc person....
