Recently acquired my second Rebel for my youngest son. I had a 250 until about two weeks ago but had a friend with a 450 he was willing to part with. It's in decent shape but needs to be ridden. As soon as I put the rear brakes back on I should be able to bring it home. My friend thinks it has a problem with the plug wires but that should be easy enough to fix. I plan to pull and clean the carbs real well and change the oil and service the forks before I let my son take it for a ride. I figure we have all winter to get it ready. Of course, winter is usually over by the end of January down here.

I enjoy reading the trials and tribulations on this board and really like the mods I've seen done.

Welcome aboard, CMA Tinker! Sounds like you & your son have a fun project to keep you busy thru the colder months, but it also doesn't sound to be in very bad shape, which is cool

Once you get her road worthy, you're both gonna love it! Congrats!

Hey there Tinker, welcome.

Nice find. Looks like you and your sone are going to be planning some ride time while fixing the 450 up. I hope you have a blast. And hey, if you run across anything you think people might want to know about while working on it, post it.

Goodluck.
