This past week, I was unable to ride my rebel, but forgot to turn the fuel off. Rode rebel about 20 minutes on Saturday. Turned off bike for 5 minutes, then rode for another 20 minutes. Turned off bike again for about 5 minutes, then it would not turn over. There were clicking noises coming from the engine. I checked the battery and levels and connections were okay. I jumped the bike with a friends car and then rode bike home. When I got home, I turned off bike and then tried to start up and the bike wouldn't start . The battery is about 6 months old. Anyone out there know what can be the problem. Please help!!!

Sounds like the battery was not preped correctly and has become weak. When first buying a new battery, put in the acid and put on a slow charge overnight, this will ensure the battery reaches its peak, some people will put the acis in the battery and let it sit for a while, and although it will build a charge, its not enough to last and will eventually cause the problems you speak of, you could try charging your battery, but if the problems continue, I would try a new battery.

Its also possible that the charging system (stator) may have gone bad. But I would start with the battery if it were me.
