Just wanted to say that im starting to do alot of work to my Rebel. I bought it new this March, and with fuel being the way it is, I dont plan on ever selling it, so thought I might as well make it the way I want it. This is what im doing. Biltwell keystone handle bars and I machined out a aluminum box to mount between the bar clamps to put some toggle switches in for the blinkers and headlight hi / low to clean up the bars, different grips, mounting the starter button near the neck, mounting the choke cable where the horn goes, bullet blinkers relocated to the forks, fork boots, side mount licence plate, getting the shocks cut to drop the back end, boat trailer style bobber rear fender, took the front fender off, and thinking of a springer seat. Will keep updated with pics. Got all the parts coming, so it shouldn't take long to get it together. Should look pretty bad when its done, for a Rebel anyway!

Little update. Since I got this bike new in March, I have done quite a bit to it. Put some Jardine exhaust on, wrapped the top of the pipes, put different rear blinkers on ( going to put the same blinkers on the forks in the front) put on different handlebars, grips and 3 inch mirrors mounted below the bars, and just put some fork boots on tonight. I think I still want to make some struts to make it a rigid, get a different fender and possibly a sringer seat. So far I like it. Should look alot better when I get the front small blinkers on and a slammed rear fender.
Hey Tanner.
Excellent job. Always wondered what Z bars would look like on a Rebel...as well as fork boots. You've put together a good looking machine :)
I took the liberty of putting those pics on the UK Rebel site to show other Rebel owners.

Your bike is in the 250's section at the bottom :)

Thanks for the words. I think fork boots really set a bike off. It just gives it that "look"

Yeah, really makes it look "old school" almost Triumph-like :)
Keep the pics coming as you do updates...
