Going to buy 250cc Need some helps PLS!

Hi guys,
Im thinking to buy a 250cc around 85-86 coz i have a tight budget. Planning to turn it to bobber style. There is a guy selling a 85 250cc with around 15,500 miles for $700 but im kind of concern if it is too much for 250cc engine. What would you guys recomend

if its a running riding bike, you cant go wrong, I would not think twice, if you are just buying the engine, I'd say $250 or less assuming its a good runner

im sure its probably a good bike.I recently picked up another 1985 250cc rebel with 11,275 miles and even though it needs some paint I didnt hesitate to pay $675.00. they are good running bikes
