250 Jet kit

Does anyone offer a rejet kit for the 250 rebel's? I put some pipes on mine, and it said that no rejetting was required, but thought it would'nt hurt to do it anyway.

There are jet kits out there, but they are not that great, the easiest thing to do would be shim the needle in the carb. Check out this thread.

Any idea what the thickness of the shim is? Another thing, Im a machinist so I could make my own jet, but how much bigger should it be?

Once you look inside the carb you will see that there is a indented are around the needle in the, just find a washer that will fit inside the area, the thiskness of the washer that size should be enough.

Not sure on the jet size, but for the amount of time it takes to shim the needle it would be alot quicker to undo down the road than having to take everything aprar to get to the jets.
