OK, if I change out the exhaust, how complicated is a rejet ?

There is not much along the lines of aftermarket jet kits for the rebel. However there is a process called shimming the needle in the carb that will help compensate for the exhaust.

Here is a thread I posted about how to do the process a while back, have a look as this may be the route you want to go, I did this after installing a set of mac right side exhaust on the rebel my wife had at the time, and it really really helped.
