My first post here so i thought i would show my back and give you some info on it and a Mod or 2 i did. Bought this off my brother who paid 300 bucks to his best friend. Who bought it new in 2002. Its been dropped twice and im certain it wasnt taken care of. It only has 9000 miles on it and since i bought this thing as a 90 mile daily commuter ive been working on it to get it road ready. It has never sit so at least that was good news.

First of all, mobil 1 baby full synth. did a valve job cause they were clattering good and loud. Over reved more than once is my bet. That done i ran a double dose of sea foam thru this thing. Man i tell you this thing went from a 65-70 mph bike to 80- 85. I cruise at 65 but glad i have the throttle there if i want it. Purrs like a kitten.

Cosmetically its alil rough. Both front blinkers were hanging but functional. JB weld fixed that. Head light was busted and yea you better believe i have to night ride. Scratching my head because i didnt have the money to get a headlight from jacks or ebay nor the time to wait for them. Needed the bike as soon as i got it. BTW all the above was done in the same day. SOOOOOO as you will see in the pics i found an eleven dollar wal mart fix, and it actually looks good and works proper. The tank is dented both sides and is missing a side cover. Both fenders are in great shape and every thing else it there and looks good. No rust that i have found. I mounted a tool box on the back, where the little passenger seat was. The seat is now in storage. Looking around the shop i had an old computer chair sitting there and got a crazy id for a back rest. Check the pics out and let me know what you think.

Hey thank you. Im saving about 300 dollars a week in fuel, so ill have some cash availible to go into this thing. Gonna get some bags and a legit box for the back. I think ill leave the headlight tho i like the older retro style it seems to give it. Gonna look at a junk yard and see if i cant find a bezel that i can shape to make a housing for it. I hate using stuff like JB weld on jobs like this, tho i had no choice that i saw at the time. The light is 55/65 so the high beam is 5 watts stronger than stock. It puts a nice spread out in front of you and i have had no problem seeing with it. At 11 bucks a pop, its a cheap quick fix. Did i mention it plugged right up? No wiring at sall to this. Plug it in, mount it, aim it, then ride baby!! I got it at wally world and its a sylvania xtravision H6024. Good luck fellas and i love my REB!!!!!

At the moment im gonna keep it stock. I do have a few Mod ideas rolling around up top but the money situation will keep it pretty much as is for alittle while. The mods themselves will come from stuff i have laying around and they are pretty much ideas like the box i did. I have actually bought 2 more rebs a 96 and 98. Parts bikes from another friend for 150 bucks. I havent seen them yet but was told that one even runs, kinda. lol. The guy did say that cosmetically there was a good tank there. He said one was PERfect, his words. Anyways i figure the tank alone is worth the 150 bucks, now if i can get some decent side covers this thing will be whole. I did wanna ask you about extending the front end alil. How do you do it? If i chop this thing it will be my first but i figure im gonna have a spare frame or 2 sooooooo why not try. Any FAQ's out there for that? My uncle looked at this thing, laughed when he saw the box and backrest thend gave me a couple of cans of flat black paint and said "here you RAT bastard".

lol was that a good or bad sign?
