I just purchased a 2008 Honda Rebel250....can anyone give me the estimated gas mileage for a person that is around 220 to 225 pounds...I know I am a little large for the bike(all I could afford at this time),but i plan to get a bigger bike soon and give the rebel to my wife.

You should average somewhere between mid 50mpg to upper 60mpg depending on riding style and different conditions.
Enjoy the new bike

165 lbs, maybe a little more with riding clothing/helmet. I keep the speedo between 55 and 60mph on the highway and short shift whenever possible. I average 80mpg but I've had as high as 85mpg.

I am right in there with robofga06. I weigh in at around 200 lbs. Most of my riding is 45 and 55 mph in my neck of the desert. Usually between 72 to 78 mpg. From what I read it could be better but maybe its the way ride.

I have had as high as 77 mpg, to as low as 65 mpg. Most of the time, I average right at 70mpg (this, on my '06 Rebel, weighing at 195lbs).

I weigh 235 and also pushing a handlebar mounted clear fairing. Don't know if the fairing helps or hurts but I believe it helps! Over the last 10,000 miles I've gotten 80-84 mpg. Seldom above 60 mph though.

I get 60 mpg on mine, my wife who weighs nearly as much, gets 80 on hers. Part of it is how you ride and part will be how lean the carb is set. Stock you should get in the 70's unless you are riding hard.

I have a 2006 and I would estimate over 80mpg. I have never run her out (as I always seem to accidentally do in my Valiant), so I can not make a correct statement. All thought I believe the manual says 70-75. I weigh 120lbs and don't have more gear than a laptop and or a change of clothing.
My 07 Rebel got 67 MPG while breaking in, 77 MPG after break in (2,000) and 86 MPG after I added a Spitfire windscreen. Most of my riding is done at 50 MPH and I do a lot of freewheeling instead of engine braking. My weight is around 175 pounds. After installing a wind screen I am completely won over on their usefulness. Not only did it increase my gas mileage, but it makes riding at high speeds easier and cold weather riding MUCH more comfortable.
