Hey all,

My headlight went out last week, at night, when I was several miles away from home. It was scary when a bus almost merged into me. I took two lane backroads with my blinker on the whole way home.

Anyway, my indicator light is out and I have 10,000 miles on my bike. So, I'm assuming that the bulb burned out and it's a simple switch. I have a Clymer manual for my '06 250 Rebel, and know what light they suggest. But I was wondering what's the best brand/headlight that will last a long time and give off a good clean light?

I want to be seen!

Thanks,

-Chris

thats a good question, I've never had to change the bulb in a rebel, so it would be good to know if there are any nice aftermarket lights out there that work well.

I actually just bought a headlight at www.denniskirk.com (I don't want to advertise them and if that's the policy of the forum please remove or replace the website's name). It was a 12volt halogen for $6 and then I did priority shipping. Total: $12. A good price in my mind. They shipped on Friday and I got it Monday, I think they'd be faster if it hadn't been a weekend.

Ok, here's the deal...

I checked the battery twice and all the electrical worked to everthing else, except to the headlight.

Guess what? It was the fuse. One was blown and there was an extra one right there, clipped in the battery pack area.

Good deal Honda!

Thanks for sharing that.

It may help one of us in the future.
