The stock seat sucks. My butt hurts after about 30 minutes. I think it needs denser padding. I don't want to fork over $350 for a Saddlemen so is there a seat from another Honda or any other bike that will fit?

That discomfort of the stock 250 Rebel seat is a common complaint. My old back injury would start to act up after about 20 minutes of ridin'.......the hardtail chop is actually more comfortable, LOL!
A good part of the problem is that there's a metal plate inside that stock seat. One can remove it themselves, get a more comfortable ride & save themselves some bucks to boot.......
You'd have to undo the upholstery, pry away the foam to expose the metal plate, remove the plate, then re-secure the upholstery......either with a heavy duty staple gun or by using small metal screws with plastic washers between screws & upholstery.

Thanks. I may just try that. I guess I could add a gel pad under the upholstery too. There seems to be a lot of room!

Yes ...... I had that very same problem with mine as well ......... so I took that metal bit out, and it is a hell of alot comfier now.
My rebel is sitting in my living room at the moment, being stripped down and cleaned and fixed up. There was no room in the shed for it, cos that is were my husbands Triumph Bonneville America is at the moment while he works on his back mudguard.
He brought his front seat in and tried it on the rebel ..... just to see what it looks like.lol.
And it looked pretty darned good I can tell you. So much so that I am definately thinking of getting a seat just like it for the Rebel. It was really comfy and makes the bike look a bit bigger than it actually is (nice and meaty)
So I guess I will now be looking around some bike breakers and on e-bay to see if I can get a replacement seat for her.

There is no metal plate in my seat. Just the molded plastic seat pan, cushion & upholstery. That Bonneville America seat looks nice. I'm gonna try and pick up some high density foam padding to add to the stock seat. That may be the easiest and cheapest way to go for me.

I bought some 1/2" high density open cell foam. I traced the seat pan and cut two pieces. I put the two together and reattached the upholstery with rivets & washers. Nice and cushioned!;)
