I hae been thinking about a crash bar for the 250...one guy said and I think he is right, that the cost is less that the replacement for any damages in a flop? But they are expensive on ebay...not the bar so much but the shipping, everything coming from china...and we know what great? quality that is lol......an ideas, suggestions, forget the crash bar? Crash bars can definitely be cost effective as you've mentioned. You can even buy individual footpegs to attach to each side of the crash bar to act has highway pegs.

Jack's carries 'em: www.rebelcatalog.com

Depending on the year of your Reb, either click on "250 Rebel" at the top of the page or "250 Rebel/96 & up".........Jack might even stock some used crash bars for cheaper if you don't mind used ?

My Rebel came with crash bars ....... but as soon as I got her home I took them off.

I didnt like the look off them on her ............. but each to their own ............ wouldnt do if we all liked the same things now would it.

I am thinking of customising my pipes as well ... I have seem some really cool fish tail pipes that I quite fancy ....... I dont want them straight though ... I want them kicking up at the back.

Fishtails are very cool & upswept (upsweeps) pipes are cool as hell ;) At one point, had considered upsweeps on the 450.

Here's a bit of trivia for ya: Back in the day, when upsweeps were pretty popular, some riders purposely calculated the height of the pipes so that the ends of the exhaust were at about the same level as the windows of cars......purely to annoy the cagers at stop lights.......hehehe....
