Andrews North Carolina Rally

I have just received an email from Mike Lyons about a Rebel Rally in Andrews N.C. on May 17-19 2008 . I will give more details as I receive them

The dates are the 16th - 18th which is a Fri - Sunday. The motel headquarters is The Country Hearth Inn and Suites in Andrews. To sign up for the meet/Rally contact mikielyons@cox.net. This rally is going to be great and a good time to meet with the folks on the forums.

usually a just getting here day. but if you do arrive early
and looking for some things to see and do:

historic downtown andrews
hill billy mall
cherokee county cycles

saturday, may 17, 2008

group ride: depart motel parking lot at 9:00 am. take
19/74 out of andrews (north east.) turn on
rt. 129 at topton. at robbinsville, those
wishing to "ride the dragon tail" will stay on
rt. 129. those wishing to ride the the
cherohala skyway will proceed on rt. 143.
either ride will end up at the tellihala cafe
in tellico plains, tn. for lunch. from there
we will head south on rt. 68 and go to
murphy, nc. from there, rt. 19/74 to
andrews. estimated time: 6 hours

evening: the group will be treated to a cook out and
bonfire at the home of david and nancy
baumann, a 2 1/2 acre spread just outside
of town. there is a tree grove, pond and
trout stream on the property. talk to david
about a ride up to the mountain top on his
4 wheel drive atv. shouldn't take alot of
coaxing!! starts at 6:30 pm until ???

sunday: may 18, 2008

ride to franklin, n.c. by way of the
mountain waters scenic byway.
est. time: 2 1/2 hours

after the ride, everyone goes their
separate ways...until next time!!

We're leaving on the 15th heading to myrtle beach bike week and will be back on the 18th so we'll be missing this one.

If I dont get me new bike finished I wont be riding nowhere.

Will do, I finished up adding the 18" ape hangers to the new roadstar saturday night, along with the other 12 pieces of chrome I bought. Was planning to ride yesterday, but it rained.

Hope its a good ride for the rebel rally... wish we could make it, flip flops and all.

We had 34 signed up but 2 dropped out due to financial matters .So there are atleast 2 rooms open. Come on over and meet some of the finest men and ladies on bikes. Jack of Jacks rebel warehouse will be there to answer any and all mechanical or parts questions. We all have a ball at these Rallys
