Thats a mean looking machine, I like it, you gonna keep the stock seat? I put a spring seat on the '02 I finished a few months ago and it made the ride even better, but they arent cheap, think I paid $180 bucks for it.

The rear fender looks awesome also, the bike should be a real head turner where ever you take it.

Man, that's one bad-ass lookin' Reb! VERY well done! You've got a great eye for aesthetics & have done a LOT of very cool mods. Righteous!

Hi Luna, the bike looks great! I'm just starting on my 250, so it's cool to see one almost finished.

This is what I'm calling my "budget bike"... As far as the seat, I may do something different later, but when I do, I'll build it...

As far as the tank, It's a king sporty tankw/ a frisco style tunnel, I drilled a hole in the frame at the rear of the tank and put a bolt all the way through, with a couple of shock rubbers for spacing... and on the front I just welded a bolt to the frame...

The fender was tricky... It's an old sportster fender that I trimmed the sides out of, and wacked off the front and rear bulk, after that it didnt fit at all so I started trying to bend it over the rear tire and shape it... finally I figured out that if I spred it wider that the radius would come, so Iworked it for about another hour and it was perfect fit... I really dunno how but it worked, so I trimmed it up, welded a piece to the front, welded a bracket to the swingarm, and bolted it on...

I also used the fender mount for the battery box mount, and strapped the battery in with a military (web) belt...

As for near future plans... I gotta do somethin to the exhaust... then ride the piss out of it,lol...

Here are some close-ups... Hope they help... Laterz...

This is GREAT! You've put a lot of thought & planning into this & ya done good!

With clearance being an issue with the 250, you've utilized space efficiency and incorporated it all into the overall aesthetic. Right on, Luna!

Question on the hitch pin clips near the base of the rear fender struts.....Are those for quick-detach only or are the struts drilled to raise/lower the struts & fender by re-positioning the clips ?

Something tells me this isn't your first chopper project ;) EXCELLENT job!

On the clips, not for adjustability, just seemed to be the easisest way to keep it clean and quick, not much bulk on the rear swingarm and the struts can be moved out of the way if needed.

Thanks to Gear Jammer on the "EXELLENT job!" and on the "first chopper project" it's actually only the second, although I've been building bikes in my head for years, finances hav'nt allowed me to actually put my ideas to use.

As for my first chopper project, (you guys are gonna love it) It is still in progress. It is actually a friends bike, he and I have been working on it for a few years off and on, when we both have time. Hurricane Katrina, and him having a baby sure slowed us down a bit, but we are back to working on it on a regular basis now. We have the motor together and painted, exhaust finished, we are just about through with all the metal work, getting ready for paint. Oh yeah, you probably curious to what it is, it's a 1981 Honda 185s (three wheeler) converted to two wheels. What we kept, Tires, Forks, Engine, Handlebars, and the neck from the stock frame. We streched the forks, built our own frame, and are using an old Harly tank. Pics will be posted upon completion.

Only your 2nd build ? Dang......you're sure putting your ideas & skills together with a vengeance, Luna......I'm seriously impressed with your abilities. Right on!

Sorry to hear about Hurricane Katrina interrupting your lives the way it has....dang disgrace how it was handled (or rather how it wasn't taken care of), but you folks are survivors & WILL make it!

After seeing what you've done on the Reb, we're all looking forward to seeing the pics of the project you've just mentioned when it's complete. It'll be another winner no doubt ;)

Keep on choppin'......and Ride Safe......
