Had removed the airbox on the 250 & wanted to install a pod filter. Measured the outside diameter of the intake side of the carb & bought a UniFlow foam filter that would fit.
The only problem encountered was that there wasn't enough frame clearance to mount the pod filter directly to the carb, so I used the stock breather hose & worked the airbox end of the breather hose over the throat of the pod filter. This turned out to be a perfect friction fit & was able to use the O-ring hose clamp that came with the UniFlow filter to strengthen the mounting of the stock breather hose onto the intake side of the carb. With the curvature of the breather hose, it nestled perfectly where the airbox used to be & actually looked pretty trick
