Shifting problems

On my sons 2004 250 rebel it is extremely hard to get into neutral. It is rarely ridden and only has 1500 miles. Is that part of the problem,lack of use?

Welcome aboard, aceyt ;).........Here's a recent thread on the final clutch adjustment, BUT..........please keep in mind that in 2004, the 250 Rebel was prone to clutch probs right from the factory. Apparently, the judder springs were installed backwards by Honda. You can either try to adjust the clutch or go directly to the stealership & see if they'll own up to the factory's negligence & set that clutch to right (provided it was one of the ones with the above mentioned problem)
