Howdy,
Recently I took my 2007 Rebel in for initial service to the Honda dealership.
Everything was fine but the service manager told me to keep an eye on the tire pressure. He said I should keep the front at 33 PSI and rear 36 PSI.
Now, I've been told that the Motorcycle Owner's Manual is always right and the manual says that the tires should be at 29 PSI.
Anyone else experience anyting similar?
Thanks!

Hiya Duck. Welcome aboard. Dealer or M.O.M.? M.O.M. or dealer?
Its been my experience that the TIRE itself is always correct. While the dealer may say 33 and 39, the tire manufactorer knows what best for its tires at a given weight and air pressure. My info sticker on my 05 says one thing and the tire recommends another. The manual for my 05 says 29 front and rear. For the tire on my bike, 29 was way too soft on the rear. I prefer to run the recommended 32 in mine, and while 4 or 5 psi may not seem like much, think about how much difference it makes to a Nextel Cup car. They actually make 1/2 lb adjustments to get the car to handle correctly.
I am no expert and my opinions should be taken as just that, OPINIONS.

Yep.
People who go by the manual instead of the tire--
those are the people that flip over Ford Explorers because the manual told them to put 18psi in a 36psi tire...

Thanks for the info and I appreciate the welcome!
My stock tires are rated at 33 PSI, so I'll see how they ride 33/36.
I guess I'm just used to listening to my MOM...
Take care.
