Anyone know of a seat that would fit the rebel without too much modification? I would like to slide back further on my stock seat (2007 model), without taking out the metal plate on my original seat.

None that I know of, Bugsy, unless someone else does.....
I respect that you don't want to modify your stock seat, but if you decided that you wanted to, you could make your own seat pan & then either have it padded & upholstered or do the padding & upholstering yourself.
The seat pan could even be one continous piece that incorporated both rider's seat & p-pad in a singular flowing "cobra style" seat. Seat pans can be formed from fiberglass or more simply fashioned from thin gauge steel or aluminum sheet metal (my personal preference) that can be made to conform to the contour of the frame/rear fender easily, cut to shape along the edges & then padded & upholstered. A scrap piece of carpet could be used along the bottom to spare the fender from scratches on the area of contact.

Thanks GearJammer, I will probably do something like that. I think I will take the metal plate out and take it to my upholster guy, he is good and not to pricy, he did my 40 ford convert so this will be a breeze for him. thanks...

There is _one_ aftermarket seat for the Rebel.
Saddleman makes it, and it's the exact opposite of what you're looking for. It slides the pilot _forward_ to make more room for the passenger. Don't get suckered onto that one ;)
