Bought a 2008 one month ago. Got plenty of questions. Half of my driving is Freeway. The grooves in the L.A. Freeways are a problem.

Welcome to motorcycling on today's freeways. It's the same in many places, I'm afraid. Keeping your tire pressure up where it belongs lessens the effect somewhat.

In another 12,000 miles or so (when you replace the front tire) get one with a wider pattern. That will also reduce the effect of road grooves.
