In my continuing quest to make my Rebel more visible to cagers, I recently added a rear brake light flasher from Vizi-Tec. www.vizi-tec.com that I would like to share with fellow Rebel owners who may be looking for something similar.

The unit is very compact and easy to install. It works exactly as described--variable flashes instead of monogamous dumb flashes like on some cheap flasher bulbs. I installed it under the main seat in under 10 min.

I had Vizi-Tec customize the flash routine on my unit to work with my riding/braking habits and I'm absolutely impressed by the extent of the customization that can be done on the unit!

I've seen these around, they are attention getters. Been thinkin' 'bout gettin' one too. So far I just tap my brakes a couple of times when stopping. Have to be careful doing that on slick roads and may not be possible in emergency stops. I did put a modulator on the headlight. Can't depend on that making me visible but I use it sometimes in busy intersections. This may not qualify as a "cool' mod. More of a safety modification.
