Need fule tank for an '85 250 Rebel. HELP!!!!!

As stated in the Rebel room, I'm am in need of a fule tank for my '85 Bike.
If anyone would have one that they would like to sell I'd be greatful.
I'd love to get one in good shape with no dents and in black if posable, but any color will do because I plan to get it painted anyway. A little rust inside would be fine, just no holes. And from what I understand, from reading some of the other posts. A tank from the newer models will fit? If so please list those as well.

I have a new tank (2004) never even had gas in it. Burgandy

I also have a front fender and a rear fender, the rear fender has been shaved, no holes for rear seat, it will be a solo seater.

Also have a petcock with the tank, gas cap, ignition and key.

It was my plan to sell the whole lot together. But would break apart if the price was right.

Hey CTC, thanks for the offer. I saw that tank in an older post ,but I wasn't sure if you still had it.
I wish I could get the front fender off of you just to color match it, but the one on my bike is pristeen as is the rear fender. And I also kind of like having that little seat behind me.
As for an offer. Heck, I don't know. All I know is what I've seen them go for on E-Bay. I saw one just like the one you have go for around $150. I'm trying to get away with a decent deal because what ever tank I get I'm still going to have to have a liner put in it.

I'll tell you what. I'll make you an offer of $175 for it, and I will even ship my old one back to you when I get yours. That way you can do what ever you want to it. If you want to see what the tank looks like I can tank pics and load them on here if you'd like. Just let me know and tell me how to load them on this site.

I just replaced the black factory tank on my wife's '85 250 Rebel. It has no dents, but the top is stained from something that was spilled on it. It is a perfect candidate for a repainting job. It does not leak & according to the previous owner, it has been creamed (we just bought the bike). I replaced it because of the cosmetic appearance only, but as a precaution, I would still install a small in-line filter (I did the same with the new tank too).
