Nice job on the hardtail. Will you be using a chain tensioner to contain any chain-slap ?

Is that a Mustang tank? Looks like it, but I've never seen one with a single filler before....

I have no idea what kind of tank it is. I got the bike from some one else that started on it but lost interest. He built the rigid portion of the frame then I added the diamond plate brackets for the tail lights rear fender and coils. Then I added the highway pegs cut the front fender and chopped a harley sportster rear fender. This is my first street bike and my first time customizing a motorcycle I am a car guy so this is a learning expierence.

The bike should be complete this weekend or sometime the beginning of next week will post more pics when complete. If any body has any questions on how I did something just ask I'll be happy to help out.

It does look like a Mustang fuel cell. Have had 3 over the years, one had two filler bungs (one being blanked off, either for use for adding fuel or for installing a gauge), two had the single bung. Always thought that the stock Rebel tanks resembled the Mustangs pretty much.

For your 1st build, thomatizer, you're doin' just fine! Keep on choppin'! ;)

Check out the images below for the only Rebel 250 Bobber in Sturgis 2007 got a lot of comments about it mostly good. Lots of people asking what it is and taking pics it was a fun week. Oh yeah the black Hills trying to keep up with bikes 3 times or more its size did good kept 65 up hill with the engine screaming for mercy. Like to see a harley run as hard as this rebel did for a week.
